Application Preparation
- Remove all jewelry to avoid snagging the medical-grade fibers.
- Use your fingertips or Truform Donning Gloves for better control.
- Apply a light dusting of cornstarch to your foot and ankle if the skin is damp.
Compression stockings may feel snug at first, which indicates they are providing proper therapeutic support. Gradually increase your daily wear time until comfortable. If you experience any discomfort, discontinue use immediately and consult your physician.
Step 1
Place your hand inside the stocking and grasp the heel pocket. Pull the stocking inside our, up to the heel.
Step 2
Using both hands, place two fingers inside each side of the heel and pull outward with equal force. Gently slide the stocking over the toes and foot.
Step 3
Pull the stocking until the heel pocket is centered over your heel. Turn the fabric right side out to ensure a proper fit over the foot.
Step 4
Position the stocking right side out, then use your thumb and forefinger to pull it up in small increments, smoothing as you go.
Step 5
Gently pull upward to remove any folds and use both hands to smooth any remaining wrinkles.
Step 6
Your stocking is correctly applied when the heel is centered and the fabric is smooth and uniform throughout.
Step 1
Grasp the top of the stocking and begin turning it inside out; gently pull down to the ankle.
Step 2
Insert a finger between the stocking and the leg. Gently pull the stocking over the ankle.
Step 3
Slowly pull the foot of the stocking off the foot.
